Accident and HealthCare is situated in Tauranga, which is the largest residential and commercial area within the Bay of Plenty, East Coast, North Island, New Zealand.
Tauranga is an ideal place in which to raise your children and includes a diversity of excellent schools as well as a wide range of activities.
The area is recognized as one of the sunniest spots in the country and offers fantastic beaches, surf, sea fishing, boating, natural mineral hot pools and it is only two and a half hours from Auckland by road. Within a four hour drive, you can enjoy world class snow skiing and boarding, trout fishing and bubbling mud pools.
The city itself annually hosts a national jazz festival, wine festivals, music festivals, and has a vibrant café and bar culture within a stones throw of its beautiful harbour. It has also recently opened a multi million dollar art centre to showcase national and regional artists.
The local community is serviced by a level two public hospital (Tauranga Hospital) which is currently undergoing a major facility upgrade estimated to be completed in 2009. The hospital currently includes 321 patient beds and a staff of over 1,500 people.
